Complete guide to using the Sinteni LIMS customer portal

Welcome to Sinteni LIMS! This guide will walk you through all the features available to you as a customer, from ordering sample collection kits to downloading your final analysis reports.

Account Registration

Creating Your Account

Navigate to Registration

Go to /auth/register or click "Get Started" on the homepage.

Fill in Your Information

Enter your full name, email address, company name, and create a secure password.

Verify Your Email

Check your inbox for a verification email and click the link to activate your account.

Complete Your Profile

Add your shipping address in Settings to ensure kits are delivered correctly.

Company Assignment

Users with the same email domain (e.g., @yourcompany.com) are automatically grouped under the same company for easier management.

Your Dashboard

Your dashboard is your home base in the Sinteni LIMS. After logging in, you'll see:

Ordering Sample Kits

How to Order a Kit

Navigate to Kit Orders

Click "Kit Orders" in the sidebar navigation, then click "Order New Kit".

Select Number of Plates

Choose how many 96-well plates you need. Each plate can hold up to 96 samples.

Confirm Shipping Address

Verify your shipping address is correct. This is where your kit will be delivered.

Submit Order

Click "Submit Order" to place your kit request. You'll receive a confirmation email.

Shipping Information

Kits are shipped via UPS. You'll receive tracking information once your kit is shipped. Delivery typically takes 2-5 business days.

Receiving Your Kit

What's in Your Kit

  • 96-well sample collection plates (quantity ordered)
  • Pre-printed barcode labels for each plate
  • Return shipping label
  • Sample collection instructions

Confirming Receipt

When your kit is delivered, you can confirm receipt in the system. This is optional but helps track your order status:

  1. Go to Kit Orders → Click on your order
  2. Click the "Mark as Received" button
  3. Your order status will update to "Delivered"

Submitting Samples

Sample Submission Process

Prepare Your Samples

Place your samples in the provided plates. Follow the collection guidelines for your sample type.

Create Plate Map File

Download our Excel template and fill in sample details including well position, sample name, and species.

Upload Plate Map

Go to "Submit Samples", select your kit order, and upload your completed plate map file.

Ship Your Samples

Use the provided return label to ship your plates back to the lab.

Important File Format

Plate map files must be in Excel format (.xlsx or .xls). Required columns: Well Position (A1-H12), Sample Name, Species. Download the template from the submission page.

Kit is on its way - tracking number provided

Delivered

Kit has been delivered - ready for sample collection

Email Notifications

You'll receive email updates at each stage of your order. Make sure to add our email to your contacts to avoid missing important updates.

Downloading Reports

Accessing Your Results

When your samples have been processed and analyzed, you'll receive an email notification. Here's how to access your reports:

  1. Go to "Reports" in the sidebar navigation
  2. Find your completed order in the list
  3. Click "Download Report" to get your results

Managing Invoices

Viewing Invoices

Access your invoices by clicking "Invoices" in the sidebar. Each invoice includes:

  • Order details and sample counts
  • Itemized pricing breakdown
  • Payment status and due date
  • Download option for PDF copy

Payment Methods

Payments are processed through QuickBooks. You'll receive an email with a payment link when an invoice is ready. Accepted payment methods include credit cards and bank transfers.

Manage Your Account

Access settings by clicking "Settings" in the sidebar. You can update:
